OOTD: Valentine’s Day!

Now it’s time for my second Valentine’s Day post! There’s not much to explain, the title says it all! Here’s my fun, pink, outfit of the day!

The pink butterfly-sleeve top is from Meijer, and the Simply Vera Wang jeggings are from Kohls.

I didn’t wear many accessories, just a simple gold chain necklace and matching gold heels. I just pulled my hair up into a bun, and then added a little lip gloss to complete the look!

Tell me what you thought of my Valentine’s Day OOTD, just like, comment, or follow! And don’t forget to check out my Valentine’s Day Favorites!

OOTD: Fall Fashion

Hey everyone! Today’s OOTD consists of my favorite fall fashion items: boots, sweaters, and scarves!

I wore this amazing sweater from Kohls that I absolutely love! It keeps me warm and still allows me to move around comfortably. These jeans from Justice are also a favorite of mine.

I didn’t wear too much for accessories, just a silver headband to add some sparkle and my favorite Taylor Swift scarf. The boots are from Target (sadly they’re not Uggs), even though they don’t have the quality of Ugg boots, they are still super comfy and cost much less!

6 Months Of Blogging! + October Favorites!

Hello to all of my amazing readers! First of all, the end of October celebrates the 6 month anniversary of Raining Pineapples! In these past 6 months I have achieved 55 incredible followers, over 200 likes, and nearly 700 views! So, a huge thank you goes out to all of you that have liked, followed, and visited my blog!

Now onto my October favorites! These are just a few things that I am absolutely in love with this chilly fall season.

1. Sweaters!

It’s officially sweater weather! This year I couldn’t find any sweaters that fit me, so I borrowed one from my sister and also bought an amazing sweater from Kohls.

2. Halloween!

There are two things I love about Halloween: costumes, and pumpkins. This year I had a very last minute costume, 60’s style hair along with a great faux leather jacket and skinny jeans. Kind of random, but I thought it worked pretty well. I also LOVE carving pumpkins. This year I just drilled holes all around my pumpkin, very simple but the result was fantastic!

3. Homemade Everything!

Fact: Homemade anything tastes incredible! (As long as you follow a good recipe, and nothing catches on fire…). This month I have enjoyed yummy homemade cookies, cake, ice cream, and poppy seed muffins (my personal fave!), and I can’t wait to bake even more!

Well, that’s it for today! Have a splendid Halloween and don’t forget to like and follow my blog!

Makeup With Pinkie From Pinksterstyle!

Hey everyone! Aren’t you proud of me? My second ever makeup post! It’s still not much (especially for a beauty and fashion blogger) but hopefully I’ll do more soon! 😀

photo 12

Today is just a fun little post about something that Pinkie (from pinksterstyle) and I tried. We were just sitting around at her house last Friday and decided to do each others makeup and figured “Why not make a blog post out of it?”. So here’s the finished result of Pinkie’s makeup look. She asked me to try a smoky eye (which didn’t really happen because we ran out of time) but hopefully it still turned out okay!

I first applied foundation, concealer, and powder. Then added benetint (instead of blush) and a nude lip color.

And for the eyes I used black and silver eyeshadow with dark gray eyeliner gel.

It was kind of difficult to do since I wasn’t familiar with all of her products that I used, but luckily Pinkie always looks amazing, even with my far from perfect makeup. 🙂

Remember to check out and follow Pinkie’s blog! She also has a post with her doing my makeup here. Thanks for reading!

p.s. Are you guys interested in me doing more makeup posts? I honestly don’t wear very much makeup on a regular basis so I obviously haven’t done many. Please tell me what you think!

Goodwill Shopping Trip!

Hey everyone! So these past two weeks have been super busy for me with camps, dance, and all that crazy excitement. They were so busy that I couldn’t find time to post! But don’t worry, I have many posts coming soon!

Now on to the real post…

Goodwill Shopping Trip!

Like the title implies, I recently went shopping at Goodwill! I only bought a few items, but they were so cute I just had to post about them! Goodwill is definitely one of my favorite stores. You can find great brands for affordable prices, and seriously, what’s better than a $5 top? So without further delay, let’s go shopping!

This Charlotte Russe top is amazing! It’s comfortable, cute, and stylish!

This Mossimo top has a fantastic peplum back and button down front.

These outstanding coral Mossimo skinny jeans are super comfy and complete any outfit!

Super simple, super cute, and super awesome! This T shirt is one of my favorites!

This dark cherry Mossimo shrug adds warmth to any outfit!

This white top is amazing! (Trust me, it looks a TON better when you’re actually wearing it :)). It’s from Mossimo and it’s a guarantee for compliments!

So, which item is your favorite? Don’t forget to comment, like, follow, and share with your friends!

One last thing: since my birthday is next week, would you guys be interested in a “What I got for my birthday” post? Just tell me in the comment section below!

4th Of July Nail Tutorial!

Hey readers! To get into the patriotic spirit, I thought it would be fun to create an easy colorful mani! All you’ll need is three different polishes in (you guessed it!) red, white and blue.

I used “Ruby Ruby”, “Snow Me White” and “Love Nails” (all from Sinful Colors) for my red, white and blue. And my sparkling top coat is “Glass Slipper” from Sally Hansen.

  1. Paint your nails in the following order: nail #1- red, #2- blue, #3- white, #4- red etc. Repeat with the right hand, but instead start with white. IMG_2427
  2. Apply the second layer, but only cover half of each nail and with different colors: nail #1-white, #2- red, #3-blue, #4-white, and so on.IMG_2448
  3. Clean off all of the excess polish and touch up whatever is necessary. IMG_2452
  4. Apply a sparklicious top coat for the finishing touch and voila! A bright, fun, patriotic mani!

Did you absolutely love this manicure? Tell me in the comments below! And have a fabtastic 4th of July!

My Makeup Routine

Probably most of you readers have figured out that I don’t really have a makeup routine. In fact, I rarely ever use makeup. But of course there are a few exceptions, and since I dance a LOT there are plenty of shows, rehearsals, recitals, etc. where I need to have the whole stage makeup look. Sometimes I include a whole rainbow of colors on my face, but today I’m sticking with light and neutral makeup.IMG_2335

What I used: (from left to right)

  • Lipstick from NYC– This bright fun color is great for summer!
  • Nouveau Neutrals Brightening Eye Color by e.l.f.– Another fantastic and affordable mini eye shadow palette.
  • True Match Naturale Concealer from L’Oréal Paris– I love this concealer, it’s perfect for fixing any blemishes and looks completely natural!
  • True Match Naturale Foundation from L’Oréal Paris– This powder is amazing! Like the concealer, is looks completely natural!
  • Blush from CoverGirl– It comes with 3 shades and 4 different palettes. This one is called “Refined Rose”.
  • Thickening Mascara by Palladio– Sadly this pricey mascara was not as fantastic as I had hoped. It’s still usable, but not my favorite. If you’re looking for a fabulous mascara, try Almay’s “Intense i-color”.
  • Eye shadow palette by Femme Couture–I bought this on clearance from Sally Beauty Supply for $2 and absolutely love it!

First of all I applied my L’Oréal Paris concealer and foundation,

and then both my e.l.f. and Femme Couture eye shadows and Pallido mascara,

and completed the look with my CoverGirl blush and NYC lipstick.

Triangle Nail Art Tutorial

Hello readers! Today’s tutorial is triangle nail art. I got this Idea from the blog  Beautiful Kayekie and had to try it. I absolutely love this mani, and I think you will too!

All you need is:

  • 2 different nail polishes (I used “Charmed” by Sinful Colors, and Sally Hansen’s “Steely Gaze”)
  • Painters Tape
  • Scissors

  1. Apply your base coat
  2. Apply your first polish color–You can do every nail the same, or switch a few nails like I did with my index fingers– and let dry for at least 45 minutes
  3. Cut your tape into small triangles. The size of your triangles depends on the size/length of your nails, but I would leave a little extra tape overlapping your cuticles, to make it easier to peel off
  4. Carefully apply the tape to your nailsIMG_2231
  5. Apply your second polish painting over the tape and nail
  6. Immediately after painting each nail, carefully and slowly peel off the tape
  7. Repeat steps 5-6 with all of your nails and let dry
  8. Finish with a top coat
