6 Months Of Blogging! + October Favorites!

Hello to all of my amazing readers! First of all, the end of October celebrates the 6 month anniversary of Raining Pineapples! In these past 6 months I have achieved 55 incredible followers, over 200 likes, and nearly 700 views! So, a huge thank you goes out to all of you that have liked, followed, and visited my blog!

Now onto my October favorites! These are just a few things that I am absolutely in love with this chilly fall season.

1. Sweaters!

IMG_4034

It’s officially sweater weather! This year I couldn’t find any sweaters that fit me, so I borrowed one from my sister and also bought an amazing sweater from Kohls.

2. Halloween!

IMG_4018IMG_3943

There are two things I love about Halloween: costumes, and pumpkins. This year I had a very last minute costume, 60’s style hair along with a great faux leather jacket and skinny jeans. Kind of random, but I thought it worked pretty well. I also LOVE carving pumpkins. This year I just drilled holes all around my pumpkin, very simple but the result was fantastic!

3. Homemade Everything!

IMG_1294

Fact: Homemade anything tastes incredible! (As long as you follow a good recipe, and nothing catches on fire…). This month I have enjoyed yummy homemade cookies, cake, ice cream, and poppy seed muffins (my personal fave!), and I can’t wait to bake even more!

Well, that’s it for today! Have a splendid Halloween and don’t forget to like and follow my blog!

Friday Favorites! InStyler Rotating Hot Iron

Happy Friday everyone! Can you believe it’s already October? Leaves are falling, the holidays are just around the corner, and Ugg boots are coming back into style. Plus now that the weekend is finally here, it’s time to tell you about another Friday Favorite!

This is one of the best beauty tools I have ever owned and it’s phenomenal with my hair! Today’s favorite is the InStyler Rotating Hot Iron.

14461069_130130023000

Most of you probably already know about InStylers, but if you don’t, here are the basics. Unlike an ordinary curling iron or straightener InStylers have a rotating heated cylinder and four rows of precision-aligned bristles which enable you to both curl and straighten your hair. It also uses less heat which results in healthier and happier hair without sacrificing quality.

Now as you might already know, I have extremely long, thick and coarse hair, so typical flat irons do not work well at all. My InStyler works wonders on my hair and I can straighten and curl my hair in far less time than any other product I’ve tried. They are fairly expensive though, the standard model (which I own) costs $100, but the quality is amazing and if you have hair like mine, it’s definitely worth it!

Thank you for reading! If you haven’t already, check out all of my other Friday Favorites here. Also remember to like, comment, follow, and share with your friends!

Friday Favorites! Proactive 3-Step System

Hey guys I can’t believe my 3rd Friday Favorite is already here! As you might already know, Proactive is one of my absolute all time favorite acne treatments. It’s just SO amazing and works magic on my skin.

Proactive 3-Step System

Unknown

While most people would actually use all 3 products, I only use the first one (the “Renewing Cleanser”) due to my sensitive skin. (Weird, right? I have sensitive skin and yet proactive doesn’t irritate it at all…). My brother originally got the whole set but didn’t end up using it so I just claimed it as my own. 🙂 The basic set of 3 is $20 (You can’t just buy one on it’s own), but it’s definitely worth it.

Sorry I’m in such a rush, that’s all for today! Don’t forget to like, comment, follow, and share with your friends!

Friday Favorites! Onyx Professional 3-2-1 Dry!

Hey everyone! Today is my second Friday Favorites post! (Confused? Check out the first Friday Favorites here). This is a product that I just started using and I already love!

Today’s favorite, Onyx Professional 3-2-1 Dry!

751148a7255249fa8417de4b6_large

Obviously this is one of those “quick dry” nail products. But this isn’t one of those top brand items that dry your nails instantly, this product (which costs $3 at Walmart) does half of the job for a fraction of the price. It doesn’t actually dry your nails in 3 seconds, but it does dry them to the touch and after 10-15 seconds they’re ready for a second coat of polish!

So even though it’s not perfect, it does have a lot of pros: (such as drying my nails super fast in between coats), and cons: (the smell is horrible, I would recommend using this product outside).

Overall this product definitely cuts down drying time in between layers of polish, even if it’s not perfect. It’s so useful and saves me so much time doing my nails, I absolutely love it!

That’s it for today! What are you favorites? Tell me in the comment section below!

Friday Favorites!!!

Big news readers! Today I’m starting Friday Favorites! So, what is “Friday Favorites”? Simple, every Friday I’ll post about a product, item, tip, or anything else beauty or fashion related that I just absolutely LOVE. I often find these amazing little things that I’m just dying to share with you, but they don’t provide enough material for a whole post. So, here’s the section of my blog that’s completely dedicated to those little things that make my life awesome!

Now to the important stuff. 🙂 Today’s “Friday Favorite” is OPI Natural Nail Strengthener

IMG_3526

I can’t even explain how amazing this nail strengthener is, I absolutely love it! Whenever my nails are breaking and chipping I will stay away from colors and apply 1-2 coats of my nail strengthener, re-applying ever one or two days for a week. Occasionally when my nails are in decent condition I will use this instead of a base coat when painting with ordinary polish. I bought this for $9.00 (typical OPI price) at Meijer, but it can be found at any store that carries OPI. Since I rarely buy the top brand polishes and stick to the less expensive but lower quality brands, this was kind of a nail polish splurge. 🙂 But every so often there’s something that I just have to try out, and this was one of them!

So, if your nails aren’t in perfect condition (and if they are, I’m super jealous!) give OPI’s Natural Nail Strengthener a try!

That’s all for today, happy Friday everyone!
